Phase Slipover V2

The Phase Slipover is a simple and classic slipover. The pattern contains multiple variants, round or V Neck, optional German short row shaping on the neck and a variety of hem options. It’s knit at a pretty chunky gauge which means it also flies off the needles.

Deadline: 21st September 2024 (release late Sept/early October)

Sizes: A (B, C, D, E) (F, G, H, I)

Garment sizes: 32 (36, 40, 44, 48) (52, 56, 60, 64)” / 82 (92, 102, 112, 122) (132, 142, 152, 162) cm

To fit bust sizes approx: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46) (50, 54, 58, 60)” / 76 (86, 96, 106, 117) (127, 137, 147, 157) cm

Choosing your size & fit: Choose a size with approx. 2” / 5 cm positive ease, further measurements are given in the sizing chart.

Sample information:

Yarn: Sample knitted in Gepard Teddy Dear (75m/50g). Any yarn that meets the gauge may be used.

Yardage: 225 (250, 275, 300, 325) (350, 375, 400, 450) grams / 330 (375, 410, 450, 490) (525, 575, 600, 675) metres

Needles: 5.5 mm & 6.5 mm circular needles and/or DPNs

Needle sizes are recommended, choose a size needed to achieve gauge, the smaller needle should be 0.5 mm smaller than the larger needle.

Gauge: 12 stitches & 16 rows per 4” / 10 cm in stockinette on larger needles after blocking. If you find that your flat and in the round gauge differ a lot, check both a flat and in the round gauge swatch.

Notions: 2 spare cables or waste yarn to hold the back and shoulders, at least 1 sliding marker.

Difficulty: Confident beginner. Techniques include optional German short rows, knitwise and purlwise increases, picking up stitches and knitting in the round. All techniques are standard and tutorials can easily be found online.

Practicalities: The test knit will be run via google docs and discord. There will not be an instagram chat (it's just super impractical sorry!). All feedback should be given via the google doc so please make sure you are comfortable using docs, in addition questions can also be shared on discord.
